Experiment of Words

http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865599603/Mormon-young-men-bring-smiles-to-36-girls-faces-video-reaches-thousands.html

I know, I just posted something semi-similar. But really, I would be doing you an injustice if I did not share how incredible young men can be!

“There was something just in the air that you could feel that said, ‘Yeah, this is what can happen when you treat people the way that they need to be treated.'” Tim Johnson (who created the video)

When I watched this, I thought of how powerful words are to us & that each word has a specific meaning, an emotion, a memory attached to it. The words we use are expressions of our truest desires & feelings. We have the power to use words to change lives. My mom has a very old dictionary that is about 7,000 pages long. There are so many incredible words in the English language that we can be using to bring smiles to people’s faces! I hope that this can help inspire you with ideas of how to uplift your family & everybody else with uplifting words!

“The tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!”(James 3:5)

I’m BOOORED!!

That’s just asking for mom to say;  “Go clean your room!”  or  “Do your homework, if you’re so bored.”

What makes a happy home? A balance between work & wholesome recreation. Fortunately, my family has been able to do that. We’ve learned to even learn to have fun while working together ((gasp!))

“Is it possible??”  you ask with astonishment.

YES! It is!

There’s nothing better than learning to laugh while washing cars. Or doing a puzzle with your brother at a Senior Living  home.  Even the little things like when we go on walks, picking up pieces of trash.

I discovered a real gem today & had to share it with you! It’s all about “Strengthening Youth through Activities”  For members of the church, you can log in & add activities to your calendar & submit ideas. But that doesn’t stop everyone from having fun. Anybody can do this!

There’s topics such as “Service”,   “Art, Music & Dance”,  “Scouting”  and soo much more! Each activity can connect with what the young men & young women are learning- and even Duty to God!

There’s so much out there we can do together as a family. And you probably won’t hear “I’m bored!” as much.    🙂
